Happy Monday lovelies!! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! Last week was cray-cray! Just super busy. So I’m hoping this week will be a little calmer. I have to brag about my kiddos for a moment because over the past month they have had some big milestones. Charlie finished at his pre-school and “graduated” pre-k and started at a new camp…and the biggest he takes the bus to and from camp every day!! Josh started camp at pre-school for the first time and has done so well with the transition. And Sam turned 6 months and got his first two teeth. What!? How can my boys be this big already!?! We really enjoyed our weekend. While we love having the kids at camp during the week, that 8am bus is early and the week is just busy. So we’ve been relishing our weekends. Do any of you feel like summer can actually be more hectic than the school year at times?
I’m looking forward to our upcoming trip up North to be with family. We’ll get to enjoy a slower pace for a few weeks, which will be so nice. Until then we’ll chug away with our camp routine and brave the Texas heat. Summer came with a vengeance last week…talk about a heat wave!! I wore these white jeans and coral for the the official start of summer the other day. I’ve had this off the shoulder Parker top for a few seasons and still love it. I’ve linked some similar ones below.
If you follow me on Instagram, I’m SO excited to share that you can now shop my Instagram photos so simply just by taking a screenshot!! YAY!! It could literally not be more easy to shop, and is the most fab shopping time saver. Download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app from the app store (it’s free!!). Then while purrusing on Instagram, whenever you see a photo of mine (or another LIKEtoKNOW.it enabled photo) all that you do is simply screenshot the photo and you’ll be able to shop the look/outfit directly!! I am really super excited about this because I know exactly how difficult it can be to locate and track down that fab item that I see in photos that I want to further take a look at or that I just have to have. With the LIKEtoKNOW.it app it literally could not be easier. Try it out and let me know how you like it.
Okay, I’m off to take a barre class and get mani/pedis with a dear friend! WOOT WOOT!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a spectacular Monday!!
Happy Tuesday! It is officially feeling like summer around here. Charlie started camp (Josh starts next week woohoo!!), it is hot hot HOT here in Dallas, we’re in our pool every day and everyone has been staying up late. All though some how I managed to get in to bed at 10pm last night and got a glorious 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep 🙂 You guys this mama needed it so bad! Getting a night of uninterrupted sleep when you have three kiddos is basically impossible, especially 8 hours!! I feel like a new woman 😉
With summer well underway, today is all about easy summer style and my favorite wardrobe basics. If you follow me on Instagram than you saw me post last week that this is one of my go to looks during the week. It’s perfect for running errands, carting the kiddos to and fro, and on Tuesday’s I sit in sweltering hot sauna like conditions while Josh has swim lessons. So layers are must for me on Tuesdays. So is an outfit that I don’t mind sweating in lol.
Last summer when I was a couple months pregnant with Sam my Mom introduced me to these incredible t-shirts from Target. Yes, Target! They have literally become my most favorite and most worn t-shirts of all time!! I have them in every color they make, and I seriously wear them several times a week. They fit perfect, are so super soft and they are dirt cheap ($8 each or 3 for $20!!). I have, and love, this tee from Banana Republic, this tee from Vince and this one by t-by Alexander Wang but my Target tees are definitely my most worn t-shirts. Yes that is right, even me the expensive taste fancy pants admits that the Target tees are my most favorite basics in my wardrobe.
I also live in these skorts from Lululemon! They are absolutely perfect for working out and running errands on hot days. I love a good denim jacket for layering, like this one from Gap. Here I wore my Ted Baker sneakers, which I love. I’m a sucker for a cute white sneaker and this one (in true Ted Baker style) has a floral print around the edge…so pretty!!
What are some of your favorite summer wardrobe basics? I would love to hear!
Happy Monday!! I hope that you all had a fabulous weekend! Our Saturday was a tad busy but then on Sunday we were able to enjoy a slightly more relaxed end to the weekend. The weekends seem to go by faster and faster lately. Anyone else feeling that way lately too?
Here is a look at an essential dress for summer time that I wore last weekend to lunch with my boys. It is the same blouson style as this dress that I loved a few summers back, but in a softer knit fabric and a less structured fit. The smocked waist is super flattering. I love that it can be worn dressed up with a favorite pair of heels and a clutch for a date night like pictured above. Here I accessorized it minimally with just Stuart Weitzman ‘nudist’ heels, YSL ‘monnogram’ clutch and Michele watch. Or it can be dressed down with flats or espadrilles and a tote. It would also make a cute bathing suit cover up for the pool or beach. I can tell already that I will be wearing it on repeat a lot this summer.
If you are in need of a great essential dress for Memorial Day gatherings this coming weekend, this Joie dress is perfect for BBQs, pool parties and beach vacations! As a mom of three, I love easy summer time dresses that are comfortable enough to be worn chasing after the kids but that can also look great for a night out. And this dress fits both of those! I also love this strapless maxi version. I might just have to get it too 😉
Speaking of Memorial Day…who has fun Memorial Day plans? Can you tell that I’m already looking forward to the next weekend. I would love to hear what your plans are?!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful week 🙂
Thank goodness it’s Friday!! Jordan has been traveling so much the past few weeks and solo parenting three kids that are ages 5 and under is no easy feat. Especially with Charlie’s busy sports schedule and end of the school year activities going on right now. So needless to say I am excited that it is Friday, dad comes home and I get my parenting partner in crime back to help for the weekend! 🙂 There is a new shopping and dining area opening up near us, and some of the restaurants are having their pre grand opening events this weekend, so we are making a date night out of it tomorrow night and checking them out. This mama cannot wait!! On Sunday we are hoping to go to the Byron Nelson golf tournament at the Four Seasons, as long as the storms stay to the north of us. The Byron Nelson is always such a fun time!
Today I’m wearing this fun yellow Pom Pom tassel top from Alice and Olivia. I love the yellow and am hoping the sunshine color will bring some sunny mojo our way for the weekend. Pom poms and tassels are a big trend right now and are such a fun detail on spring items. I linked below some other pieces with Pom Poms and tassels that I’m loving.
This top is so fab with the tiered layers, the poms, bell sleeeves and cold shoulder. So many spring/summer trends all in one shirt!! Here I went pretty straight forward and paired the top with white ripped jeans, tan stacked heels and Louis tote. I love these white ripped jeans and wear them all the time. These ones from Topshop are indentical and a fraction of the cost. The Louis Vuitton neverfull tote is my go to tote…however lately I’ve started feeling like my “neverfull” is always too full 😂 I blame it on being a mom of three! I’m thinking about upgrading to the larger size. This one is the MM and I think I need the GM now. The newer ones come with an inside pouch too that is perfect for storing a cell phone and keys. I’ll keep you all posted on if I end up getting the larger one.
What are you up to this weekend? Whatever it may be, I hope it is filled with sunshine and fun!
Happy mid-week!! I had an amazing weekend, and Mother’s Day with my boys! They spoiled me rotten with lots of hand made artwork, yummy meals, flowers and the perfect mix of time spent together and sending me off for some “me time” and pampering (workout, manicure and Drybar!). It really was the perfect weekend! I can’t believe that we are already half way through the month of May and that summer is right around the corner! Next week is Charlie’s last full week of Pre-K. How did that happen?!? I cannot believe how fast the past three years of pre-school have flown by. I love this time of year, and I love seeing my boys grow and flourish but I do wish that it would all slow down just a bit.
Today I’ve gone gingham with pops of pink. Gingham always makes an appearance around this time of year, but this year in particular it is everywhere. With all trends I think it is about finding the right way to wear it for you. For me that is a chic gingham dress over the more traditional gingham button down blouse. I immediately loved the cold shoulder with the fun sleeves on this dress from Milly. And I love the larger gingham print.
Here I went with a fun pop of color by wearing these super old Charles David coral heels with the gingham dress and blush YSL clutch. These heels are several years old but I always seem to wear them over and over again every spring. I linked similar ones above and below. I can’t wait to wear this dress belted and with flats. I can tell I’ll get a lot of wear out of it this summer. It’s such a fun and easy dress to wear. Literally the perfect easy breezy summer dress for when it is hot hot hot out!
Have an amazing Wednesday! I’m working on some fun things for the blog and enjoying a day with no activities for the kids after two days in a row of swimming lessons, baseball practice yesterday and Charlie’s Kung Fu spring show tomorrow.
