I’m typically not a big fan of graphic tees or tops laden with a brand’s name all over it. But… for one of my all time favorite designer brands, Fendi, I did fully embrace the designer logo trend with this look!
I still remember the first Fendi bag that I got. It was a birthday present from my parents (thank you Mom and Dad!). It was a black ‘Zucca’ monogram handbag. I still have it and love it to this day! And then for my 21st birthday in Vegas there was a pink fendi gleaming at me from inside it’s very own display case… she came home with me as a 21st birthday present. When I first moved to Dallas I went straight to Neiman Marcus and got a new Fendi. There was the one that I got when I graduated college, along with a matching Fendi keychain for the keys to my new car. The one I got when I needed a pick-me-up after breaking my wrist. And for years Fendi handbags were the only designer bags that I seemed to purchase. Each one has a unique story and memory.
Then there was a large shift on the runways and in the stores from predominant monogram handbags to smooth solid leather and more structured handbags. That was when I started branching out to some other designers like YSL for example. But I have to admit that I am happy to see bags like the Fendi ‘Baguette’ and the Dior ‘Saddle’ making a comeback.
Pieces featuring designer logos are a really popular trend right now. I see them all over the runways, Instagram street styles and shop windows. From tops and t-shirts to belts and bags, shoes and scarves… logo mania is definitely here!
I love that fashion is cyclical! Hang on to your special designer pieces ladies… because they will come back in style!
I usually stick with the classics when it comes to designer pieces, but this was a really fun outfit for a change. And super simple to put together, and comfortable to wear, since it’s really just jeans and a tee with a versatile handbag.
My style secret… I ordered this tee in a girls size, which is less expensive than the women’s sizes. And for my petite frame it fits me really well. There’s even enough fabric on the tee to knot it. In full disclosure, I’m very small chested… and this trick might not work for everyone. But if you can do it (like me), do it!
This little sizing trick also works with designer belts, like the very popular Gucci belts.
In the scrolling widget below, are more of my favorite premier designer pieces for spring and summer that feature logos.
What about you, do you like the designer logo trend? Do you have any favorite designers who’s logo you like to wear?
