I recently asked on Instagram stories if any of you would be interested in a blog post on my favorite t-shirts for everyday. And I got such a great response from everyone. So today I wanted to put together a post sharing my favorite basic tees.
These are quality basics that are great any time of the year, especially this Fall as we begin to layer our outfits.
I have tried LOTS of different tees from different brands and stores. The first showroom that I worked for had me rep Three Dots – whose mission has always been to take t-shirts to the next level. So I became very versed in the industry of good quality basics. You name it and I’ve probably tried it!
So, this is my edit of my very favorite ones that I wear the most and have bought in multiple colors. And that I have even replenished / rebought over and over again.
I always like to have several black and white t-shirts for everyday. With the occasional grey and the occasional pop of color. I wear them on their own with jeans, leggings, skirts and shorts. And I layer them under blazers, jackets, scarves and sweaters. My favorites are v-neck, scoop neck and crew neck styles. I always keep both long sleeve and short sleeve ones in my wardrobe.
Keep scrolling down for my favorite Fall t-shirts; including the brands and styles that I love and wear the most.
1. FRAME PUFF SLEEVE TEE
All though a bit on the trendy side, I love a good puff sleeve tee. They’re a fun way to break up the monotony of your basics and to add a little oomph to an outfit.
** I also have this one in long sleeve and in black
2. Splendid Scoop neck tee
This closet staple is one that I reach for time and time again. It’s the perfect lightweight tee to wear alone or as a comfy layering piece.
** I also have this one in white too
3. Vince Essential crewneck
This wearable cotton tee is supremely soft and has the perfect sleeve. I wear this one with skirts a lot… since it has a higher neck it works really well when showing off some leg.
** Have this one in black as well
4. Splendid Short Sleeve V-Neck Tee
This v-neck tee is the perfect layering piece. I love the banded v and the length hits just right. It’s a closet staple that I wear with jeans and leggings a lot.
5. A.L.C Ruched Sleeve Tee
I love the little something extra that the ruched sleeves give to this tee. It’s a slightly boxier fit, which is perfect for wearing as a stand alone with jeans and skirts.
Having several different quality tees that you can easily dress down or dress up is a smart investment. Just like the blazers that I posted about the other day, t-shirts are something that you don’t need to spend a fortune on to get good quality ones.
More of my favorite, and most worn, t-shirts are in the scrolling widget below.
When the seasons change it’s a great time to take an inventory of what’s in your closet and to replenish for the new season.
