Every Fall a little spotted animal makes its way onto the fashion scene. And this year is no different. In fact this year it’s making a BIG impact. Yes, I am talking about one of my favorite prints … the leopard print!
Animal prints in general; from leopard and cheetah to zebra and even snake are on trend right now. And I’m here for it!
You may have noticed on my Instagram feed that I have been wearing a lot of leopard lately. And when I did a little ‘would you rather’ poll in Insta stories leopard was favored by the majority of you over the other animal prints. Wearing an animal print is such a great way to transition into the darker tones of winter while still having a lot of fun and playfulness.
So today I’m sharing 5 chic ways to wear leopard this Fall.
1. Leopard Paired under a blazer
Two of my favorite Fall trends right here; leopard print and a blazer. A quick and easy upgrade to make any outfit look more chic is to add a blazer (you can read more about that here). I love to utilize the blazers in my wardrobe in leu of jackets when the weather shifts. And a pop of animal print underneath is the perfect little touch.
2. Leopard pumps WITH JEANS
One of the easiest ways to incorporate this trend into your outfits is with your shoes. Especially if you prefer a more subtle hint of animal. There are so may leopard print pumps out on the market, and I will be honest some of them are better than others. I’ve linked 3 of my favs above (just under the photo) in addition to these from Michael Kors.
3. LEOPARD MIDI SKIRT + LACE BRALETTE + T-SHIRT
On the flip side of subtle hints of leopard, if you want to make a statement go for an amazing animal print skirt like this one by DVF. Since the skirt is bold opt for a simple tee (I love adding a hint of lace underneath with this bralette) and simple black heels.
4. Leopard blouse or cami
A silk cami or blouse in your animal print of choice paired with a simple pair of jeans is a fool proof combination.
5. LEOPARD DRESS
This leopard print dress by Veronica Beard is everything! I included it in my monthly shopping guide for what to buy in September and I have been wearing it all Fall. It could easily be worn during the holiday season with a pair of metallic heels or pumps. Add a belt, fur coat and a clutch and voilá the perfect party look.
Anything goes when wearing animal print! Consider it a neutral and try pairing it with anything in your closet.
